Josh Hey grew up in western Massachusetts and was drawn to record collecting/DJing at a young age. His initial obsession with original samples from his favorite Hip Hop tracks soon led him into making his own beats with the SP 303 and Yamaha keyboard. In 2006, Hey moved to Philadelphia and began collaborating with the likes of Mogillah, Mndsgn, Sir Froderick, Swarvy, TLKE and many other Philly heads in sessions known as Cold Seltzer ( \o/ )
In addition to his production, Josh is also a key figure at Paxico Records, an independent label co-owned by Chris Hund. Paxico has long been a platform for innovative instrumentalists and continues to exhibit the best in futurism and folklore. His latest release, Beat Hotel is an audiovisual collaboration with visual artist Dewey Saunders.
